ASOS
I forgot to mention but on the 11th of April ASOS came in to the Vintage Basement and used the shop to do a photoshoot for their next magazine...not to be a horrible, boastful twat, but since I am the VM I like to think it was down to my skillz that they chose us!! Ha, joking...well half joking! I will upload the photos when they come out.

Berlin I Love You
I've just got back from Berlin. It was amazing there; a wide selection of fantastic museums, galleries, shops and flea markets is offset by a glorious backdrop of modern and historic architecture. There was a lot of construction work going on, which gave the impression that the city is still in the process of being developed. I don't know if it was just because it was an unfamiliar place, but I had the feeling that there was endless opportunity there and the 'done before' feeling I get in London disappeared. I would love to move there, the amount of room they give for the roads and pavements means that there isn't the stress of jostling for space that you get in London, so it feels a lot more laid back - I really recommend it to anyone!
I took a lot of photos, my films are still being developed but I have my photos that I took on my phone all ready to upload! Ah the joys of technology. I took some photos of the local VM and shop widows, I especially liked the fixtures used in the Cheap Monday store. They created a fantastic shopping experience with a live DJ upstairs and a fantastic collection of competitively priced, very cool stock...I couldn't resist but shop once I'd gone inside!

Cheap Mondays, also known as Weekday, uses geometric shapes for fixtures, which gives a modern, basement/car park feel. Add that to the live DJ playing electro beats and it almost felt like a club, which numbed my senses into spending more money than I should have...well that's what I'm going to blame anyway! All in all it felt very European, I hope we get one in London soon.
